In their discussions, Prof. Boachie-Adjei gave a presentation to President Rawlings, about FOCOS Hospital’s contribution to Orthopaedic healthcare delivery in Africa, especially to needy child-patients. He officially invited the former President to the upcoming fundraising dinner, slated for May 13, 2017, aimed at raising funds for 100 child-patients who require surgery and also to equip the almost-complete paedriatric ward.
H.E President Rawlings, commended Prof. Boachie-Adjei for his contributions and philanthropic work. He said it was his wish that other Ghanaians would take a cue from Prof. Boachie-Adjei’s contribution and called on the government to support great initiatives like the FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital.

FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital has been giving back life to children and adults who would have otherwise remained stigmatized, isolated and even died from spine deformities and crippling Orthopaedic conditions across Africa. With the support of philanthropists world over, FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital has fully sponsored and carried out life-saving surgeries on at least 500 children.
