FOCOS Staff hold Game Night to raise funds
Management and Staff of FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital on Friday June 8, 2018 held an internal fundraising competition dubbed “Game Night” to raise funds for the Foundation.
The Game Night brought together close 70 staff of the hospital together to compete in eight different competitions. Participants were made to pay registration fees for the various games and stood the opportunity to win prizes donated by various sponsors.
In all, 8 games were played consisting of Oware, Ludu, Table Tennis, FIFA 2018, Snooker, Draft, Cards and Karaoke. The event also saw over 20 participants keenly competing in various games. Refreshment was provided as well as prizes awarded to both the winners and runners up for each competition.
Winners and first runners up for the various competitions were: George Amponsem and Derrick Nyantekyi for the FIFA 2018, Umar Mukaila and Samuel Akorlick for Snooker, Lord Tetteh and Edward Antwi for Cards, Vivian Quarshie and Cephas Adjaho for Oware, Selina Odoom and Franchesca Sekyi for Ludu, Morrison Agyei and Henry Duah for Draft, Henry Duah and Emmanuel Amedegbe for Table Tennis.. Belinda Damali and Dr. Irene Wulff were also awarded for their outstanding performance in the Karaoke competition.
The event was ably supported by some organizations and individuals including: Retroglam Beauty Services, Akuabaz Xpresion, Dr. Irene Wulff, Vivian Quarshie, Madam Rebecca Essilfie, Nana Kwame Osei Fordjour, Paschalina Adaamba, Gifty Addai-Minkah, Belinda Damali, Samuel Aboa, Andrew Essuman, Helena Owiredu and Victor Mimaose.
This forms part of an integrated fundraising campaign themed “Charity begins at home”, to encourage staff of FOCOS to support their own vision of supporting the under-served community in Africa. The campaign which begun in May, 2018 will be climaxed in July, 2018 and the aim is to raise GHC 22,000.
