Rev. Meridith T. Graham visits children at FOCOS Hospital
Rev. Meridith T. Graham, an ordained Reverend Minister of the St. John United Methodist Church visited the children at FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital on Monday August 6, 2018, as part of her global missions work.
This is her sixth time visiting children on admission at FOCOS, as part of her yearly humanitarian trip to Ghana.
“I am always touched by the lives of the children and their experience and I want to bring comfort and hope to them and that is why I visit,” she said.
During her visit, she was taken on a facility tour by Mrs Patricia Ankrah and also had ample time to interact with the children and teach them the skill of bead making. Rev. Meridith also presented some items she had collected as donations from various individuals and organizations in the US to the children as gifts. Some of the items included: stuffed animals, clothes, candies, beads etc.
Rev. Meridith holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from University of South Carolina and 3 other masters’ degrees. One in divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and two others in social work and mathematics from Loyola University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively. She also holds the position as chaplain for the Rosecrance Health Network where she provides non-denominational counseling and spiritual support for clients and families receiving behavioral health services through various inpatient and outpatient programs.
