Dr. Arthur Sackeyfio is a Consultant Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon with exceptional patient care and outcomes. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), a Fellow of the Ghana College of Surgeons (FGCS), an Active Fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), a member of AOSpine and a Member of AOTrauma.

Dr. Sackeyfio graduated from the School of Medical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana in 2007. He did his residency training at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and was certified by the West African College of Surgeons in 2018 as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. His penchant for desire and commitment to work earned him the Best Workers’ award during his residency training.

Following the successful completion of his residency in orthopaedics at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, he was trained by the world-renowned Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon and Founder of FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital, Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei (Past President, Scoliosis Research Society) as a spine surgeon in a 2-year orthopaedic spine fellowship program. His association with Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei started with him offering his time as a volunteer at FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital in 2012.

Dr. Arthur Sackeyfio was then elected as a Fellow of the Ghana College of Surgeons and was the first to be awarded a Post Fellowship in Spine Surgery by the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Arthur undertakes numerous international and local orthopaedic and spine conference speaking engagements where he shares his surgical expertise and experience. He is an international guest speaker and resource faculty for the Nigerian Spine Society and AO-Alliance.

He also honors invitations as an international faculty for a couple of American orthopaedic residency grand round presentations.

His special expertise spans a broad field of orthopaedics including but not limited to orthopaedic spine conditions (complex spine deformity correction, spine trauma, degenerative conditions of the spine and spine infections), trauma, adult knee and hip replacement, complex pelvic trauma, pediatric orthopaedics and sports injuries.

Dr. Arthur Sackeyfio contributes greatly to orthopaedic spine research publications, and as the head of residency and fellowship training at the FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital, he trains residents and fellows for the Ghana Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons, the West African College of Surgeons and AO-Alliance. His flair and finesse for his practice ensures an impeccable patient centered orthopaedic service to all his clients, with excellent results and very high reviews.

He is an ardent listener of jazz, classical, and African music. Arthur loves fitness and engages in High Intensity Interval Training programs. He is married with two wonderful kids and enjoys being a family man.
