I was a regular full back player for Cantonments Youth and the National Handball Team until I had an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (tear in my right knee) injury during a training session with my club which resulted in my inability to play for several months.

I became very devastated because I could not play the game I loved to play due to my injury and inability to raise money for my surgery. My surgery was estimated to cost GHC23,000.

Upon my arrival at FOCOS I had only been able to raise GHC700 from my personal savings and support from my family. As part of FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital’s commitment to social responsibility and promote sports medicine in Ghana, my surgery was fully sponsored.
