Austin College experience at FOCOS Hospital.
FOCOS Hospital surpassed my expectations in many ways. After seeing how hospitals in the United States are run, it was a pleasant surprise to see such a difference in the atmosphere of the hospital. In the United States, providers always give off the impression that they are overworked and have other things they would rather do with their time.
In FOCOS, all faculty and providers were very kind, served with a cheerful smile, and had a great sense of humor. They made us feel welcome to be there and demonstrated to me the passion that drives people to become healthcare providers. With advanced medical care comparable to the United States and a clear passion for their work, FOCOS Hospital is definitely the gold standard of healthcare in Ghana.
