Miss Ghana pays courtesy visit to FOCOS
Exclusive Events Ghana organizers of the prestigious Miss Ghana pageant together with the top three finalists of the 2017 contest paid a courtesy visit to our facility during the Christmas festivities.
The team consisted of the overall winner Miss Margaret Mwintuur Derry, the first runner up Priscilla Nana Akua Gameli, the second runner up Marigold Frimpong and the Projects & Business Development Manager Agyemang Oppong Peprah.
The purpose of their visit was to familiarize with the Hospital’s operations and also sponsor Gifty Amuzu, a 13 year old girl with a curvature of the spine. The beauty queens met and interacted with the Founder and CEO of the Hospital Prof. Emeritus Oheneba Boachie-Adjei as well as young Gifty.
“Early interventions are very critical in order to increase the chances of correcting such deformities and so we commend your efforts to support her” Dr. Boachie-Adjei said.
Mr. Agyemang Oppong Prempeh who spoke on behalf of his team assured management that Exclusive Events will sponsor the total cost of Gifty’s Surgery which is estimated to cost about GHC94,885,00. They also made a pledge to officially make a donation at a later date to commence Gifty’s treatment.
Also present were Gifty’s mother, representatives from Dromo Foundation and GTV who covered the event. They further interviewed Dr. Kwadwo Poku Yankey, (Specialist Neurosurgeon, FOH) to speak more about the condition of young Gifty.
The beauty queens used the opportunity to invite the FOCOS family to their Kid’s Bazar scheduled to take place on Saturday 16th December, 2017 to raise funds for Gifty Amuzu’s Surgery.
