Renowned Physiatrist Dr Paul Cooke and his team visit FOCOS

The 2017 physiatry team trip from the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) who visited FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital from Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th June ended successfully.

During the week of their visit, the team, led by Dr Paul Cooke, a renowned Physiatrist conducted pain management clinics in conjunction with the anaesthestic team at the hospital. They saw several patients using modern pain management techniques, bringing relief to many patients who experience pain from muscle, bone, nerve, joint or spinal  ailments.

Additionally, consultations and procedures commenced simultaneously during this period  and all resources both Human and material were put in place to ensure the success of their visit. In all, the total number of consultations was 42 with a total number of procedures done, amounting to 25.

“We hope to have another wonderful experience with the team next year,” a representative at FOCOS Hospital said.
